Building Projects

In the last couple of years we have expanded the program to include:

Nsefu Basic School, the other government school in the area. We have helped to renovate classrooms and build teacher’s housing, and also have provided desks to a school that previously had no desks fro its 300+ students.

The demand for places was still exceeding the availability so we helped the community organize and open the new Kapita Community School.  Teacher’s salaries and the educational material is donated by the project.  The community runs the school, with the assistance of the experienced heads from Kawaza and Nsefu.

We have designed an ambitious five-year plan to create a full education system within the Nsefu Chiefdom. This will mean that students from this area will not have to attend expensive boarding schools and will be able to attend school through to Grade 12 in their home area.
